Ecuador is a small south american county located in the north west of South America. It is not part of the WP or NATO.
Ecuador shares borders with:
Ecuador has no colonies but has direct control of the nearby Galapagos islands located 700km from the coast.
Ecuador's economy starts off small with £116 million in it's treasury and a surplus of just over £1,000 million. The country is rich in agriculture, timber and metal ore. It also has a decent amount of oil and water and a tiny amount of coal.
Ecuador starts of with surplus amounts of water, oil and electric power so it is advisable to first build up the agriculture, timber, metal and coal industries first and then concentrate on building up the consumer, industrial and military industries.
Ecuador starts off with a very small surplus so you should increase the overall tax rate to 60% and increase spending on infrastructure to boost your production.
Ecuador starts off with outdated American World War 2 equipment (presumably bought from the USA). Ecuador has the following production:
The army is starts off outdated and badly equipped. The army is mostly made up of infantry and militia units with cavalry reconnaissance and old Stuart tanks. The army also has a few outdated artillery and anti-tank guns.
The army is mainly for defensive purposes.
Ecuador's Air Force is tiny with only four squadrons. Some of which are outdated American designs. The Air Force lacks any Interceptors or Strategic Bombers.
Ecuador's navy is tiny with only one destroyer and three patrol boats. This fleet is used mainly for the defence of the coastline and the Galapagos Islands.
Ecuador starts off neutral on the world stage. However, most of the NATO countries and their allies feel 'diplomatically concerned' towards Ecuador whereas the WP is more friendly so it would be wise to engage in diplomatic relations with the countries of the WP first.
None of Ecuador's immediate neighbours are on good terms with each other or you so be mindful early on as you could provoke a war.
Ecuador start off with only two technologies so extreme modernisation is advisable. At first try to concentrate on the cheapest because you can't afford the more expensive ones until the economy becomes big enough.
Try to buy all unit designs from other countries as it is quicker and easier. Ecuador does not have it's own unit designs but there are South American designs that are available to buy.
