- Less AI War declarations / higher belli requirements
- AI will never cancel alliances at Very Easy / Easy
- AI Rulers will never conspire to declare war together at Very Easy/Easy
- More favorable evaluation of Diplomatic offers
- More favorable evaluation of Diplomatic trades
- Regional Relations, Civ Attitude effects 60% to 140% of Normal
- Belli Effects 60% to 140% of Normal
- Adjustment to Initial (game start) player integrity, subsidy, wmapproval values
- Adjustment to Initial (game start) AI subsidy, wmapproval values
- Adjust end of day wmapproval, subsidyrating
- Adjust rate of gradual reduction of belli when not at war
- End of Day Change of AI Ruler dip relations, civ attitude, and belli
- (New in 5.2) No AI ruler vs player largest army or build cap belli at Very Easy

- AI Ruler Defense Minister improves
- AI Units are more intelligent
- Human Defense Minster less active
- Increased likelyhood of Partisans & Guerillas
- More likely to receive UN Military Advisors
- Easier levels provide higher baseline Efficiency
Economic Difficulty
- Lower taxation income at higher difficulties
- Other economic effects adjusted
