The United Kingdom of Great Britain is an island nation located in Northern Europe, its the third most powerful nation in the world and a major player in NATO.
The UK only shares borders with Ireland.
The UK has 53 colonies (although historically the UK had 77 during 1949).
All of the United Kingdoms Colonies are shown below (note that some aren't in the game):
The UK starts off with £1,790,000,000 in its treasury and a surplus of £78,915,000,000 and can easily fund a huge building program and increase its social spending without any trouble.
To boost the economy it would be a good idea to increase taxation to around 60 per cent and increase all social spending especially infrastructure, education and healthcare.
Britain starts off with plenty of all unit types which vary from outdated World War 2 equipment to ultra-modern designs. Britain needs a large military to defend its empire which spans about one fifth of the globe. The UK has the following production:
The army starts off pretty well equipped with plenty of self-propelled artillery and tanks. There is also a stockpile of outdated World War 2 equipment mostly towed artillery, anti-tank guns and anti-air guns which can be sold for some quick cash or kept for a rainy day.
Britain's navy is the second largest in the world behind America. It has 13 Aircraft Carriers and 1 Battleship along with 74 Submarines, 156 Destroyers, 132 Frigates and 88 Transport Ships. Britain has plenty of naval designs mainly of British origin and a few of NATO/Worldwide origin.
The Royal Navy's primary role is to lock down the English Channel to stop Soviet shipping, also it is responsible for securing the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean to search and destroy any WP transport ships or merchant marines that cross these waters.
Britain starts off with plenty of aircraft most of which are outdated Spitfires and Mosquitoes. Although Britain does start off with several state of the art fighter jets like the Meteor and the Vampire.
Britain has many designs for almost all of the classes except helicopters and multi-role aircraft. Most, if not all, of its aircraft designs are of British origin.
The UK is a major power within NATO and has a comfortable relationship with America, Belgium and the Netherlands so its has bad relations with the WP countries. It is easy to build on the relations of the other NATO countries. Also, some of NATO's allies are friendly towards the UK so it would be wise to make alliances with Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
The UK is one of the most advanced nations when it come to technology and is the closest country to having nuclear weapons other that the US and USSR. The UK starts off with 3 Research slots which is fine early on but it may need more later on. There are NATO and new British designs like the Saracen APC and the Centaur Class Aircraft Carrier available which will give the country an edge in the many wars it will be fighting in the next few years.
